How's the gelcoat looking?

Be honest here — this is where quotes swing the most.

The Salt Line Oxidation Scale Levels 1–4, from factory shine to severe chalking. Heavier oxidation means more machine stages, which is why restoration pricing scales with it.

    About these numbers

Why a range instead of one price?

Because two 30-foot boats can be far apart in labor. One's been covered and waxed every spring; the other has sat uncovered in Florida sun for six seasons and needs multi-stage cutting on every square foot. The range reflects that honestly rather than baiting you with a low number we'd have to walk back.

    How accurate is it?

It uses the same per-foot rates and oxidation scale we quote from in person, so it's usually close. The most common reason a real quote lands outside it is that the gelcoat is in worse shape than the owner thought. Either way, the number you pay is the one a Salt Line rep gives you directly — not the one this tool produced.

Who gives me the final price?

A Salt Line representative, either in person at the boat or over the phone. Nothing on this website is a binding quote, and we won't start work until you've heard the real number from a person and agreed to it.

Does the in-person estimate cost anything?

No. It's free, takes about 20 minutes, and there's no obligation. We're fully mobile across Northeast Florida.

    Is there a minimum?

Yes — $175. Below that it doesn't cover the drive and setup.
