About
Owner-operated. On purpose.
When you book Salt Line, the person who quoted your boat is the person doing the work.

25 years of learning what gelcoat wants
I started Salt Line in 2020 after two decades around boats and the finishes that live on them. In that time I've seen every shortcut in this trade — the glaze that hides oxidation for a month, the wax slapped over a hull that needed cutting, the "coating" applied to a surface that was never properly prepped.
None of that is how we work. Every job starts with a test section so we know exactly how the gelcoat responds before we commit to the whole boat. If a boat doesn't need the expensive service, I'll tell you.
Fully licensed and insured, working out of the local coast, and mobile — we come to your slip, lift, trailer, or yard.
How we operate
Four things we don't budge on
Test first
No compound touches your hull until we've proven the process on a small section and shown you the result.
Quote before, not after
If we find something that changes the price, you hear it before we start — not on the invoice.
Right product, right boat
We won't upsell you into a coating your boat doesn't need or can't hold.
Walkthrough at handoff
We don't disappear. You see the boat with us and sign off before we pack up.
